Alaska Eco Vacations LLC. is an Eco-friendly Alaskan vacation lodge in North Kenai Alaska. We are within 3 hours from Anchorage and just 20 minutes away from the world famous Kenai River. The Kenai site is semi remote and fully accessible by paved road except the last 1/10Th of a mile gravel road. We have 3 fully equipped yurts available. Local attractions include awesome fishing and charters, bear viewing, sight-seeing, whale watching, white water rafting, and kayaking. This is the perfect place to make your home base for exploring the Kenai Peninsula. We also provide on site management for any assistance you may need.
Yurts are circular, Mongolian-style domed tents. We have 3 16 feet in diameter and one 20 feet in diameter yurts with plywood floors, hardwood lattice sidewalls and a clear Plexiglas skylight. These fully insulated shelters are designed to withstand high winds, snow loads and summer heat. They have a framed-in lockable wood door and windows with screens and storm flaps. Covered entirely by waterproof canvas, the yurts are an aesthetically pleasing and comfortable place to stay, even in the dead of winter.
