Tutka 2 yurt is located on the right side of Tutka Bay as you are traveling up the bay. You go under the power line and the yurt is on a point just about a mile past where the channel goes up to the lake on the right. There is a small beach and a triangular trail head marker on a tree above the beach. The yurt is up the trail to the left side of the beach and out on the end of the point overlooking the bay. The spot is very private. There is a fire ring at the beach and that is where we encourage you to do your cooking. There is a bear resistant storage container for food just off the beach on the trail. Please don't leave garbage in the food storage container and mop up any spills with the provided wipes. There is no fresh water at Tutka 2 you must bring all your drinking water.
We provide an axe and a hand saw along with basic safety equipment. We provide a one burner propane stove in the yurt for boiling water but we please cook at the fire ring on the beach.
There is an outhouse on site and we ask that you not put paper in the hole, burn it or pack it out. We provide split firewood for the stove in the yurt. The yurts are maintained weekly and we ask that you only use the provided wood for the wood stove. Please leave dry firewood for the next party and kindling in the yurt and give the place a sweep on your way out.
We are a small private concession providing yurt camps in the park. we hope you will follow the park regs posted in the yurt. We hope that you have a great time an appreciate your support. thanks Lee and Jess Tenhoff
